Coffee Cupping Master

General Information


As the rise of the coffee industry, the profession of coffee cupping and coffee tasting start to receive more attention, which also leads to the incremental needs of the talents in the coffee industry. Currently, there are only a small number of professionals who have obtained the coffee cupping or coffee tasting professional certifications. In order to increase the attention to the coffee cupping and coffee tasting profession, Silicon Stone Education(SSE) has particularly established the Coffee Cupping Master certification. SSE expects to elevate the professions of coffee cupping and coffee tasting through the profession training and certification program.

Coffee Cupping Master is a subjective examination. It establishes the professional knowledge of the Coffee Cupping Master through the examining of the coffee related concepts. The scope of the examination will include: the understanding of the conditions to cultivate coffee, the main coffee production areas, the different characteristics of coffee beans from three continents (Africa, Asia, and Central South America), the methods of coffee brewing, and the formation of each unique coffee flavors.

Lausanne Coffee Cupping Master License is recognized globally, we believe it will demonstrate your practical coffee knowledge, and it will support your career in the coffee industry. It will be one of the major international authorized hospitality license in the future, similar to the IELTS of the University of Cambridge and the TOEFL of the American ETS.

  • The element behind the sourness and bitterness of coffee

  • The exam contains a total of 60 questions.
  • 60 multiple choices.
  • Each question is worth 20 points, leads to full score of 1200 points.
  • Minimum passing score is 840 points.
